ICAN Conference

Hi everyone,
I was just curious as to how the ICAN conference went this year in FL. I so wished our family could attend, it just did not work out as I was near the end of my schooling for nursing and could not miss any classes.

Anyway, just wondered how things went and if anything new has occurred.

The conference was nice. The Florida School for the Deaf/Blind is an awesome facility! A newsletter should be coming soon and it'll have an overview of the lectures that day. Hope you family can make it in 2009!

We do not know, yet, where the 2009 conference will be held. Do you have any suggestions?

Does anyone think there will be a conference on the west coast. I saw the last two have been on the east coat (which makes sense considering the University is in PA). I vote for a west coast conference!!! :D

I have no suggestions for a location for the 2009 conference, I just hope and pray we can attend this time!! I went to a Michigan conference for parents of visually impaired this past weekend and met another family from this group and another family and it was so nice to be surrounded by people who can 100% understand!!!

We are really trying to have the next conference on the West Coast. We have some wonderful families in California that are willing to help organize. I will post any updates to this site, plus it will be in our newsletter, The Conformer, when the info. is available.
