Hi. I am a new member. I am from India. I have a 3 mths old son with bilateral anophthalmia. We started him on conformers last month. We do not have support groups or similar cases around. So the internet is our major source of latest info. I'd like to know of any good parenting books on bringing up a blind child. I want to give him the best possible care and start in life and wanna make sure I am providing the maximum stimulation for proper development. Thankfully my son has no added syndromes. He's a very cute, alert baby, who wants to start walking at 3 mths only! Any helpful tips from experienced parents would be most welcome. Are there other parents who are hoping for a breakthrough in stem cell research that would help grow a new eye and let their children see! I am keeping tabs on the latest research. Anybody comes across any such info, please do share it...
