Jodi,
You may not remember me, but we spoke on the phone soon after my son was born. You introduced me to ICAN. Since Wyatt is now 4, he must no longer be able to have Judy Cernkovich (not sure if spelled right) We still are lucky enough to have her in our lives. Jalen does have some extremely useful vision, he surprises daily! He does wear clear conformers and high powered glasses and with those, he is able to see. Now, since he does not talk, we have no idea how well he sees, but, he knows shapes, colors and can walk freely in strange places with only minor bumps into things. We feel extremely blessed for him to have this much useful vision. We NEVER expected it!
Good to hear that Wyatt is doing well and starting with the cane!! I hope he learns to adapt with it quickly. I hope everything else is going okay with his health and your family. I wish there were regular posts back and forth about this, but I guess there just aren't enough of us out there for it to happen.
