Congratulations on your new baby boy!! I know this can overshadow the joy of having him as a baby, so try not to let it ruin these precious times. You will be seeing quite a few specialists!!
I would love to share photos of our son and his conformers. He has bilateral micro with some vision. He also was born with cataracts which were removed at 3mos of age. He now wears clear conformers and thick glasses to try and obtain any vision possible. We were told to give him as much light stimulation as possible to help with sending signals to the brain since his eyes were so small and he has such limited vision.
We bought every toy we could find that lit up and it played music, so now our almost 2 year old is addicted to lights and music. Not bad addictions right?
I will be sending some pics your way soon.
Good luck! I am not very knowledgeable with coloboma, but it seems like many of the kids with micro have it. We were lucky not to have it.
