New born with Anophthalmia need help

We have a new baby girl, bon 5 July 2007 in Ft Walton Beach, Florida. Any suggestions for ocularist in our area - I see Amy like someone in Birmingham - is that Dr Cox? If so he may come to Pensacola so we will go there. Our pediatrician and the folks at Sacred Heart are not familiar with this condition and we found you on the internet. Any assistance will be much appreciated, we will begin our phone calls on Monday!

We see Tal Cox in Atl. his dad is Bill Cox in Alabama....Tal is great, he learned his craft from his dad, so I can only imagine his dad is just as great.

We swithced to Tal after having a bad experience with Lisa Johnston in NC. We felt like all she was interested in was collecting the $$ up front at each visit. Tal has really become part of our family.... he is a real angel.

Who was your opthamologist and who was your plastic surgeon? We are having a difficult time zooming in on folks who can work with babies.

There is an ocularist in the tampa, florida area. I met him at the 2001 ican conference in chicago. I will get his info. and post it shortly. My son stephen has mircophthalmia extreme. Stephens eyes stopped growing at about 8 to 12 weeks into pregnancy. so i was told.

There is also one in gainsville. but he doesn't speak good english. I had a hard time understanding him.

Dr. Cox.. I did see him in birm.al. But it cost me alot to see him just for comformers. well that was back in 1995. haven't been back since.
