ican Volunteers:
Adele
Schneider, M.D.
Dr. Schneider is board certified in Clinical Genetics and
Pediatrics. She is the Director of Genetics and has a busy
clinical practice at the Albert Einstein Medical Center
in Philadelphia. She specializes in diagnosing and caring
for children born with birth defects and genetic syndromes.
Her area of expertise and research interest is A/M. Dr.
Schneider was instrumental in helping parents in the Philadelphia
area establish ican. She is currently a volunteer administrator
for ican and assists with many aspects of running the support
group.
Tanya M. Bardakjian, M.S.
Ms. Bardakjian is a Certified Genetic Counselor whop has
been working with Dr. Schneider for 7 years. Her research
interest is also A/M. She is the Coordinator of the A/M
DNA research project and Albert Einstein Medical Center.
Ms. Bardakjian also assists ican with administrative tasks,
such as conference planning and parent contacts.
